Homily 12/15/19 The Already Kingdom and Not-Yet People (John the Baptist and James 5:7-10)

Jesus says that those who are least in the kingdom of heaven are greater than John the Baptist.  This in no way detracts from St. John's sanctity, but speaks of a new epoch inaugurated by our Lord.  James (in the Epistle reading) speaks about the kind of people we are becoming in Christ and the patience that is appropriate as we grow more fully into who we are by virtue of Christ's redemption.   Recording from the 8am Mass.
